Before & After 1984 Trek 610 rebuild
My second complete rebuild and overhaul, a 1984 Trek 610 I found by pure accident for only $40 riding by a yard sale. It has a few marks but cleaned up nice after a complete degreasing, cleaning, and polishing.
It's a 22.5" frame in Race Blue. Original drivetrain and Matrix anodized wheelset. Changed to a Nitto stem and bars plus VO's SS braided housings. This is one fine rider, I've never had a 531 frame and I'll be searching for more.
As you can see from the before photos, this was one junked-up bike.

Looks great man! The paint and bright bits look great! I have the same thing but I have 700c's on it. Here's a pic. I ended up going w/ black bar wrap, rx-100 slr aero brake levers and more subtle wheels

And you call that a "Junked Up Bike?" Looks to be in excellent condition, for only $40.
Woah! She's pretty, quite a make-over. Love these old Treks!

Sweet action. I love the yellow bartape - a good choice given the decals.
I'm a total sucker for 531 Treks.

I owned its twin for about a year.I rode it until the helicomatic hub self destructed, then sold it for a nice profit. Still regret selling that one
