    Attaching larger images

How do you attach a good-sized image to a post? When I go to "manage attachments," all I can figure out how to do is attach a tiny thumbnail.
Bear in mind that I am a moron, though good bike mechanic.

I have the same problem. despite lots of advice I just can't figure it out. so I simply attach the thumbnail and post my reply. Iopen the thumbnail in a new "tab" then edit my post and copy and paste the larger image. I suspect it has something to do with how my firewall settings are on my 'puter or the public/private setting in flicker.

OH also does anyone know if I delete pics from the attachment cache or folder do they get deleted from the thread? for example if I delete a pic I posted say last Oct. does the pic still show in the thread where I posted it?

Okay, there's no hope for me, I guess--you say you can't figure it out either, but I can't even understand your workaround. Guess I should go build a wheel or something.

The best way to to host your photos on a photo service like photobucket.

Sign up to photobucket, then you will be able to post full size photos in your posts.

I use my ISP's FTP storage. Most ISPs provide you with at least a few hundred megabytes of storage space. Look it up on their website then use a program like Filezilla to upload images. Once you've uploaded them you use the IMG tag to insert images into your post. I prefer the ISP route instead of photobucket because then I can avoid the bandwidth limitations of photobucket.

I use Flickr to store my photos. It auto creates several sizes that I can link in with the "Insert Image" on the quick reply toolbar
I pick "From URL" and uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"

    here are 3 sizes
and a link to the giant size http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3235/...ae7a586b_o.jpg

I use Photobucket to host my pics. Each pic is assigned 4 links. Copy/paste the IMG code into your post:

    WWW.CYCLESPEUGEOT.COM 2005 Pinarello Dogma; 1991 Paramount PDG 70 Mtb; 1976? AD Vent Noir; 1989 LeMond Maillot Juane F&F; 1993? Basso GAP F&F; 1989 Terry Symmetry; 2003 Trek 4700 Mtb; 1983 Vitus 979

That is one beefy bike. Is that motorcycle drum brake up front?
