I hope she had a team of mechanics, throwing her bike derailer side down like that. When there's a perfectly serviceable tree 10 ft away.

Yeah, I agree, I'll always go for the tree rather than the grassy patch when I need a target at which to throw my bike.

Hahaha! I guess I should have typed "dropped" instead of "thrown".

Reminds me of back in the day when I'd practice my throwing star technique with old cogs hurled at wooden fences and trees.
