Good timing to do a Gazelle tag team! No photo of me actually on the bike, but here is my work-in-progress Gazelle Champion Mondial and one of me in the center on a cycling outing with my wife's Dutch family in the Hoge Veluwe (a national park)

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=436095 As far as I know there is only one known pic of Robert Johnson, and that was from his back. So far I have no pic with both myself and the Gazelle. |
Tour de Palm Springs 2015
Did 87 miles of 102...not bad for my first century I think http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...21-54-49-1.png |
I flew out from DC to Palm Sprimgs to do that ride! Lots of fun, gorgeous weather. Nice to be able to ride a century in February.
We'll be back next year! |

Why such a big gap in sizes between the C'dale and Pinarello? Looks to be a good 6-8 cm difference between the two? The Opera looks small since you've got so much post showing and the super long stem? Just curious.
I recently picked up a 55cm '84 Lotus Legend so I could find out what all this 'riding a properly fitting bike' hype is all about. |

It's been awhile since I posted my mug. Took this the other day on my first decent size ride.

I don't think I've seen the Campagdale with fenders, @Henry III. Which ones did you go with?
|
I went with SKS chromoplastic Blumels. I almost went with just some normal black fenders but a friend from the shop convinced me to do the silver to match the polished sections. I'm glad I listened as I love how it came out. It's a perfect fit with the 30mm Strada Biancas with maybe room for a 32mm bit it would be pushing it.

Somewhere in Wisconsin on a short tour with friends riding my first nice vintage bike -- a Centurion Pro Tour. Sold soon there after as it really wasn't my size
https://scontent-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...91&oe=55D43C5C On the Trek that replaced the Centurion. I believe we were headed out to see the Nature Valley crit in Minnesota. https://scontent-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...ed&oe=55DDD398 Vintage in MTB terms -- an older DBR Titanium Axis with upgraded fork. In Colorado: https://scontent-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...f4&oe=55CE0361 Not vintage, but my nephew is pretty darn cute. https://scontent-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...7c&oe=55C74812 |
It's hard to compete with "cute"! (Nice pics.)
Here's a pic from yesterday's ride, BF member otg, and my sweetie and me with our vintage tandem. http://world.std.com/~muller/pics/Ri...orthBridge.jpg Near the end of the ride another couple on bikes commented that we looked like we were dressed for winter. (The temperature hit the upper 70's.) I told him it was cold when we started. But the fact is, a nice SPF shirt can be more comfortable than sunscreen. |

Me hurting near the end of an alley cat. I was not amused at the prospect of having my photo taken. Not pictured, the Guerciotti I rode valiantly to defeat.
