I don't have one of me on the Root Beer Bomber (I like names for bikes that remind me of classic steam trains) yet. Too new. I just put the pretty new cork grips on today.

Well, if you had to ask......
Just make sure you cover your GF's and wive's eyes as I will not be responsible for what might happen after they see my pic.......
This was some years ago during my gear masher days.
Some changes have happened since ........

Oh! My eyes! Too much Fabio!
Off-topic, kinda. You guys load up such nice big photos. I can't load anything bigger than a thumbnail. Magic trick I'm missing? The photos are NOT that small, and when I try to load a larger photo, it says the photo is too big. I wanna play like everyone else!

Huh. Well, I tried to link to my photo in Flickr, but it didn't like the file. Are you hitting "insert image" and then taking it from a URL? Are you just putting the link in your post? I'm not sure I follow, and it still won't let me actually do it. The Flickr file doesn't have a file type in the URL. I think that's what's confusing the program.

I use Photobucket, but I think Flickr works the same way. Right click on the IMG adress under the photo thumbnail in the Photobucket gallery, then select "Copy". Return to the Bike Forum reply (or new thread), place the cursor where you want the photo and right click, then select "Paste". The Image code will display. Select "Preview post" to see what it actually looks like. Hope this works for you, if not someone cleverer will correct me I'm sure.

Nope. Flickr won't let me right click my own photo (all rights reserved, you know). Or copy it. Sigh. I don't want to hijack the thread, so any suggestions can just be sent to me, if folks would like. I don't really want to open yet another account somewhere for photos (I actually use Kodak Gallery, but it's not public). Any thoughts, sent to just me, are appreciated. Until then, here's the best I can do:

to do a photo all you have to do is CLICK on "share this" at the top of your photo
CLICK on the "Grab The html/BBCode"
Pick the size you want.
and the only portion of the html code you need is the part after the "Img Src" the stuff in the parentheses. Copy and paste that code into the insert image box.
should look something like this
<img src="]https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4093/4878682156_9deba2cb3b.jpg" width="380" height="500" alt="Night Ride" /></a
and thats it.

I use flickr also and have recently made some progress figuring it out. Go to the page with the photo. If it turns into a slide show, go back. Find the "share this" link. click on the PHP button (or whatever isn't html) and copy a bunch of code. then in BF, just paste the whole mess right on the part you are typing in. Don't use the "add image" button.

Snarkypup: How does this look on your screen. All I did was left-click your thumbnail to enlarge it, then right-click to get what I needed. Kind of a PITA, but still..

Oh for heaven's sake, I'm not attractive enough to warrant this many posts! But they all look good, in terms of size .
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Not exactly up to date......earliest photo I know of with me on a bike - circa 1957 or so.

Six of us rode a mix of Hondas, Kawasakis, and a BMW from Minnesota. We journeyed up on the Alaskan Highway into Alaska.
I rode a Kawasaki 900 Z1 at the time, and as I recall, it was one of the worst handling bikes I ever owned.
I had just turned 21, and as you can imagine, it was an incredible adventure.

Hmm - sorry to digress here briefly. I'm running into problems uploading pics. BF lists the maximum file size as 100kb, while all of mine are in the 2-3mb range. I can't imagine my camera is much differenct than anyone elses. Could anyone give me a tip as to how to load an image larger than 100k?

Probably use one of the free photo-hosting sites such as PhotoBucket or the like?
EDIT: And I would guess IMG tags
Or something like that
