It's always cooler in Door County. The Ridges Sanctuary near Baileys Harbor boasts a patch of boreal forest left over from the last ice age.

Playing along our sugar sand beaches last week, hope that you enjoyed the nice weather, save our regularly scheduled afternoon t'storms. You were just about 25 miles from our place, across Perdido Bay on the Florida side. The next time y'all are down here give me a yell if you want to ride some.

Bill

Yea but maybe I'll ride on the roads this time. I only got a few hundred yards in on the sand and I was whupped.

Thanks, I kinda thought my belly was bigger than I wanted...skinny guys can say that.

The best part of the vacation was riding every day with my older sister; she's been cycling about a year. About 3 years ago she made a life decision and lost over half her body weight, over 125lbs. Diet and sweat. Damned proud of her, she's becoming a fine cyclist.

Good for your sis, that is quite an accomplishment. Next time you are in the area give me a shout if you'd like to ride, as long as its on the pavement!

I am very impressed. Congrats to her from one (and I am sure many others) BF member.

I have just begun to read a book: "The Story of the Human Body" by Daniel Lieberman. It concerns about 'evolutionary medicine' — newer branch of health science. The main focus is on diet and exercise. I'm sure your sis has many things to teach others.

Definite like, Fixies, those jerseys are the bees' knees. Both bikes are spot on. Where did you find your shoes, if you don't mind my asking? I'm looking for some Euro sized 46 classic cycling shoes.
