I had a saddle as described in title, which - unfortunately - I gave away.
Would really like to find model again. Can anybody help?

Sounds more like a San Marco Regal, than an Italia:

Agree me being a fool in giving it away.
My though is, it may have been an older model (that's why in this forum)
Thanks for your suggestion though!

Could also be one of those Chinese made Regal knock-offs too.

That's it! Model campionissimo! What I learn from it, is that it must have come in different colors. My Internet search for a purchasable one only revealed a white one from Japan. I would prefer every color - but white.
Thanks "old fat guy" - what a knowledge, 4000 posts! Since I assume they are all answers (not questions) it might rival Sheldon's contribution.
If somebody knew a source, I would appreciate it
