Anybody seen the Colnago book in person?

I'm looking for information about the Eddy Merckx hour record bike, and I'm wondering how much information the book about Colnago has on it. Amazon doesn't have any, and there's a listing on fleabay for it, but I want to make sure it's worth it before I spend that much money. The book looks pretty cool, but I'm not much of a Colnago collector. Anyone seen one in person? How much info on the hour record is there?

Which book are you talking about? Is it in Jan Heine book?

No, it's by a guy named Pier Augusto Stagi-- I can't find any information about it online except for an eBay listing that is typically over-the-top gushing without much real information. The book looks pretty cool, though.

Here is a link to the excellent Mark Bulgier resource.

https://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Articles/

If you look down the list he has a scanned article from Bicycling on the bike and record attempt. I have the same magazine, signed by Eddy M. and Pino Moronni. I also had the pleasure of "molesting" the bike in the article for a few hours when it was on display at Il Vecchio, a shop near Seattle. It was amazing.

I love the bike, I have two Molteni Orange Colnago Supers and also a Kessels.

For a Colnago person, the book is a must-have. I received mine yesterday, bought it on eBay. Seller was great, book is even better. It's a high quality book with lots of great pictures. I've only skimmed it, so I don't have much more to share at this point.

Best,

Lee
