Land Shark Part III -- "The School"
OK, I'm now on the wagon. I'm done for a while. I haven't looked at CL for a week. I have a great little collection of C&V bikes and certainly don't need anymore.
However, for some reason, I continue to be coerced to buy Land Shark bikes at low ball prices by sellers who insist I take them.
Thus, my third Land Shark. With this one, the seller and I went back and forth by email until he forced me to accept a low ball price I couldn't pass up.
It is a 1991 Road Shark; Dura Ace drivetrain, brifters and brakes; Mavic Open Pros and hubs; and Kestrel carbon fork painted to match the frame and stem. Here it is:

Is that a pump peg peeking out of the headtube? Make's it kinda like a jolly old Englishman on holiday doesn't it? Great looking bike, perfect for rides down Palm lined streets!

Diggin' that stem!
She's a beauty.
Fast bike, fun bike.
Nice find.
By the way, I said I was on the bike wagon four bikes ago.
At least I haven't bought one in a month.

All that acid I did in the 60's must be kicking in because that is a wild paint job.
I was following a Land Shark on E-bay that was listed 3 or 4 times at a super high starting price. I thought one day he would convert it to lower starting bid. Eventually I think he just gave up.

Death fork? Naaaah!!
I've wanted a Land Shark since I found out that Andy Hampsten's '88 Giro bike was a re-branded Land Shark.

Oh that's just too sweet a bike to turn down! Awesome paint, hat's off to Mrs. Land Shark. I like this one a lot.
And yeah, you do have a serendipitous collection of bikes. If I had them, I'd probably set up a hammock in the garage, sip iced tea and admire them all. But it's too bloody hot.
PS>
hey wait a minute....are those Shimano pedals ALSO painted?

I forget what post I gleaned this from but I think it was a landshark. the few I had seen, mostly MTBs, always had cool paint schemes.
