Bianchi Tangent?

I am trying to work a trade and this is what the other guy is offering in trade. Are these worthy touring rigs? It appears to be in good condition. I'll try and get a pic...........in the meantime any insight appreciated.

To me, its more like a hybrid/cyclocross bike. Reminds me of a Schwinn Criss Cross with drop bars. Some of them had pretty high quality frames.

the Tangent seems to be a two year model unless it made an appearance after '93. a quick search shows '89 and '90 and both look to nice bike. nestled between the Axis (below) and Equinox (top) it had a DB ChroMoly frame. the '89 was equipped with Suntour XC900 with barcons. the '90 had XC Comp with command shifter.

they were intended as 'cros bikes but were heavey for competition. lots of people use them as commuters and touring rigs.

Tried to bring the pic over but not working............Celeste frame with vertical dropouts, looks like black Suntour barcons, black aero levers, triple chainring, canti brake mounts, touring stem.........

Celeste color? Bar cons? Sounds like a must grab to me.

I had one pass through my hands a couple of years ago, and sold the frame-set to stringbreaker. AFAIK, he still rides it so you might want to ping him and see what he thinks.

Seemed like a nice frame, but I never rode it - just passed it along. The one I had looked like this:

that is an '89 model. the biggest difference between the two years is decals and the shifters.
