130BCD chainring for First Gen Dura-Ace crank - anything to be aware of?
I recently bought a couple Willow chainrings in 130BCD, 48t and 49t. I replaced the 52t ring with the 49. So far, so good.
I'd like to find a vg/new 38t ring to replace the 42t inner. Scanning eBay, I saw plenty of options, though many purported to be for 10sp or 11sp setups. I did see some Stronglight rings, like this one:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F371264759154
In terms of profile and width, I presume that's better-suited for a vintage crank, true?
BTW, in addition to swapping the outer chainring, I replaced a 14-22 5sp SunTour 8.8.8 freewheel with a 13-24 ultra-spaced New Winner. There was gobs of space with five speeds. The 6sp fw dropped right in. Didn't even need to redish or move spacers around. My guess is the bike used to be equipped with a narrow fw at one point.
I know I'll have lots of overlap with this setup, but I'm willing to live with that, at least for now, just to get a bit lower low gear and not have to mess with my chain.

good luck with eBay , I cannot fix that..
Ergal is another name for 7000 series aluminum..
better CNC machined chainrings use that , usually a 7075. 130 is a common BCD by now..
Rear 'Speeds' really is beside the point in chainrings ,
as long as the chain slides on, over the teeth it's OK.
