It's probably a waterford paramount, depending on the parts and their condition, asking $800 may not be to much out of line.

Looks like the seatpost is backwards.

$800 is a bit of a stretch, its more like a $600 bike +/-. As far as I can tell Waterford Paramount framesets from the late 80's are selling in the $250-300 range. The best examples of run of the mill full 600 Ultegra bikes w/o STI levers sell in the $300-400 range.

The seatpost is backwards but then again its not backwards. I'm going to venture a guess and say it flipped around for a more suitable Triathlon seating position.

She's got to start somewhere. She can go down from $800. It's much harder to get $400 when you start at $400. CL is so wacky these days, I'm surprised she didn't start at $1000.

Now, it's my size, and I'd be after the frame...then try to copy norskagent's '89.

I got my 50th anniversary Paramount earlier this year for $600 and felt like I got a bargain (Then again, its near-mint & nearly full Dura Ace 7400)-
