My catch of the day - not a bike, but bike related :)
So, the wife desperately needs some trivial item but cannot get away from what she is doing, and directs me to the local hardware store to fetch it.
I go, I get the item, and then on the way to the register I see these - floor samples, closeouts, and 50% off!
Man, what a difference. One minute I'm bending down and fishing around in the toolbox every time I need something, and the next minute my bicycle universe is ordered and makes sense. Plus, everything has its' place so I don't have to clean up the pile of tools at my feet when I'm done with a job.
I'm so happy, I can't stop working on bikes.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Nice set up... must do this at my shop one day.
Like the selection of freewheel tools as well... you have have the big Maillard tool in there.
I took my Park BMX tool and machined it so the centre is 16mm as then you can use it without taking the axle nuts off.

I've got the advantage of also having the hobby of working on cars, so when I started working on bikes I had a box like that, full plus some. Now that I've realized that bikes are much less expensive to tinker with my bicycle specific tool collection is starting to grow. Two whole small drawers! Bigbossman, you've got a nice collection there, and congratulations on your new acquisition.

so wait a second. you went to Ace to get a new stopper for the kitchen drain and came back with those? even at 50% off I do hope there were some flowers or new pot holders for your wife as well.

I am usually happy to go to the store for the wife. I can then stop at the hardware or home center without having to explain that I was just looking. You never know when they might have a manager's special.
My wife has a set like that for all her scrapbook stuff. $300 at Sears was a lot cheaper than what the scrapbook suppliers were selling. I have Kennedy boxes for my tools, my grandmother worked at the factory. Years ago, they made boxes for Sears, now they sell mostly through industrial suppliers. I keep my dedicated bike tools on pegboard at arms reach from my stand. I like being able to grab what I need without walking over to pull open a drawer and I don't have enough floor space to roll the box around next to the stand.

Nice set up. Makes me want to get all my tools up off the basement floor and into the nice roll away I have that holds the tools I used to work on helicopters with...now just to find the motivation to do so instead of wrenching on bikes.

actually my local Ace has started selling Craftsman tools, too...and OSH has been owned by Sears for many years now, so they have them, too. But I've never seen the rollaways at my Orchard Supply.
Funny thing is how quickly I was able to overfill mine to where I still can't find the tool I need.
