    Please post the serial number -- someone else is putting together a date vs. S/N database for Kawamura frames.

    I suspect the original brakeset was DiaCompe centerpulls, because I see what looks like a brake cable stop bridge on the seat stays and because a Nishiki would have come with Japanese, rather than Swiss, brakes.
