Ko-ga! Ko-ga! Ko-ga!

I just picked up this Koga Gran Racer for 100 bones off CL. Full 8sp RX-100, great pearlescent paint and some small cleaning/maintenance to be done, but otherwise very purty.

It looks like bottom to middle in the Koga line (maybe, because I know zilch about them)

I'm afraid this is one of those times when I bring home a flip that's my size - probably some negotiations with my wife approaching.

Nice! Did you get any info on the history of the bike? Aren't old Kogas European exclusive Miyatas?

+1...there's just something about Miyatas. I find most Japanese bikes kind of cookie cutter, but to me Miyata is the exception. I also have a thing for Lotus.

Nice find, even the lower end Koga Miyatas are reasonably nice in my opinion.

After reading the title, the next line that crept into my head was "It's not gonna be an orgy... it's a toga party!"

Randy and Chris nailed it. I was raised on Animal House.

See if you can guess...what I am now....

I'll post some better pics in the next day as I clean it up. I'm imagining it with the white Turbo and purple Benotto tape I have stashed in a drawer, making it hard to imagine selling it right away...

Photo bump! Here it is. I'm still on the fence, but dang - that RSX shifting is incredibly tight. If I decide to keep it I'll probably switch out the post and stem for silver and that Turbo for a brown Brooks Pro.

What is the size of the stem and seatpost you are considering changing out? Possibly we can arrange a swap...
