1980(?) Rossi
Greetings, all!
I recently purchased an all-chrome Rossi road bike. I am guessing it is a 1980 based on the few other pictures I've been able to discover online. Is there anyone out there who can steer me to some information about this maker/bike? I will post pictures when I get them. Thanks!

Rossi is a small Italian bike company. Here is a link to a different forum's thread about Rossi.
Rossi is made in Povolaro, Italy (a tiny village that is one of three that make up the small city of Dueville in Vincenza, North Italy).

Congratulations, thats a mighty fine bike, I own 3 one chrome 2 that are gray, sl columbus tubing , great riding bikes. I only seen two others on this forum. If you google chrome rossi bicycle you get this site (nonlintec.com/rossi) check it out. These bikes have no serial #s,.They were made in the heart of Italian cycling il Piedmonte in northern Italy, one at a time You wont be dissapointed. Are you located in Ontario by chance.

Serial Number
Actually, I'm in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I actually think the frame does have a serial number. I took some pictures yesterday. I'll try to post them today.

Regarding the website you mentioned, that is the one I'm using to date mine. It appears to be the identical bike. Mine is missing the decals (except for the head badge) and the Rossi stem. Otherwise, it appears to be all original. I would love to find some decals for it!

The only # on mine are58 and SL which is the size and type of tubing. You might see a date on your components to give you a general idea.

I've heard that Oxalic acid can be used to remove rust from chrome. Have any of you ever used this? I've ordered some, but would feel more comfortable if I could get some advice from someone who has done it before.
