Finally got my Cannondale back together
 

It hasn't been ridden since I got the ST400 built last year. I've been wanting to work on my speed and therefore wanted to work on some short fast rides (well fast for me anyway).
I pulled it apart four months ago and last night finally finished it up (except for a computer which Sigma failed to send the correct mount for but that's another story).

No paint job but that's next on the list since it is starting to have its bubble issues, but in the meantime it is more than ridable.

I put some gel inserts under the bar tape and between that and the Selle An-Atomica I didn't feel anything for my 50 miler today.

P.S. - Yes it is a classic. She is 25 this year. Which in bike years is like 75. ;)

Just curious what's going on with the angle of the saddle?
Nice bike though. Be sure to post and update after you get it out onto the road again for the first time!

Nothings up, that's just how I like my saddle angle. I may knock it down by a half a degree since I raised it a little but that really is comfy.

Avg speed went up over 2 km/h just from changing bikes. I really need to get rid of those Conti tires next.... and do more squats.

Yes.....That is the sentiment that keeps this forum relevant. You've got to love your bike.

canopus, Looks good! I didn't repaint or powder coat my '89 CR either, somehow seems right for the time being. I put Cont. 25C Ultra Sports on it and at 90 PSI they do quite well.

Mine was parked with a broken STI for awhile and while it was the least ridden of my Cannondales anyway, it nagged at me. Since it's mini rebuild it's had the most miles in the last six weeks... I understand the "It's good to have you back baby..." statement quite well!

It might have been cheaper to purchase a complete bike but I've only ever done that once and still managed to replace half the parts before I got it out the door so I don't think I'll ever do that again. Well maybe, if I ever get a Silkroad, but other than that I'll stick with F&F builds.

Yes but I like the outcome. If you have the scratch, you may as well enjoy it, since you only go around once. :thumb:
