Wait a second Ben! My name is still last on the list. I was thinking I might get off easy and just send my BOC south on one of the buses heading into South Station. It could be left among the panhandlers for southpawboston to come and squabble over!

With creative use of a grinder I may be able to fit an entire frame in one little box.

Might be funny if ever C&V member to sent a BOC to that site that was selling the BOC in the first place.

Perhaps a worthy Spring cleaning project for us to undertake?

I would do it just for the fun. I would include a note saying, "I bought your box of crap and was dismayed to find valuable things in it. You want to see crap? THIS is crap!"

I came up with that rule because I didn't want freight charges to be excessive nor did I want anyone spending much more than anyone else.

Perhaps for April 1st.....**********??

Now I'm getting interested.......would be a fun February project putting it back together, kinda a C&V puzzle thing.

3 lb limit, it would have to be carbon fiber frame.....but look on the bright side, it's a good use for a carbon frame plus it can be reassembled with glue, kinda of a win/win.

so is it still a rule given that participants (in the US, at least) will all pay the same shipping? 3lbs is too little, IMO.

I'm using a medium-sized USPS Priority Mail box. US domestic mailing is $10.70 for whatever the box weighs, so no need for a limit.

How big is that box? Were I to play this game, handlebars would be involved....

Not big enough for handlebars, unless they are chopped down to about 8-10 inches.

Just brought home from the PO the same box Neal mentions. My BOC will weigh whatever, but will be filled to the brim with crappiness. Can't wait to send it and see the look on Karen's or Carl's face at the PO desk: "Pastor Bob, what did you shove in this box? Do we need to call homeland security!?!" I'll just reply, "No, it's just a BOC!"

You might have to bend those bars in half, Rudi.

I've tried to make sure my BOC doesn't have anything oozing out of the openings, but we'll see.

I like the idea that we don't know whose crap we're getting until it shows up; you'd have to randomize it in secret and e-mail us our recipient's address.

Flat rate international gets really bad over 4 pounds.
https://www.usps.com/prices/priority-...nal-prices.htm

Priority Mail Flat Rate International Options (Retail Prices)
Canada / Mexico All other countries Size
Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope* (up to 4 pounds) $11.45 $13.45 12-1/2'' x 9-1/2''
Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box* (up to 4 pounds) $11.45 $13.45 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"
Priority Mail Regular Flat Rate Box (FRB-1) (up to 20 pounds) $26.95 $43.45 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
Priority Mail Regular Flat Rate Box (FRB-2) (up to 20 pounds) $26.95 $43.45 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8"
Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box (up to 20 pounds) $33.95 $55.95 12" x 12" x 5-1/2"
Yes, randomizing is a good idea. If we go in order, whomever signed up right after me will really be kicking him/herself and never play a C&V game again.

Signed,
Known Low-Roller

right, this is the box i'm using, and so far have 10 lb stuffed in it. that's why i thought 3 lb as an upper limit is too restrictive... my intent is to stuff it to the gills. the recipient will have to extract the contents.
