Prepping for my New Years Eve ride - taking the Serotta

And I only ride the Serotta on days with really nice weather...

It's nearly 60 degrees in Dallas today.

Just wanted to point that out.

It'll be in the mid 30's by tomorrow though.

And even lower than that through the weekend.

I don't think I'll be able to ride today, but I'll do a short one tomorrow. I'm still plagued by my achilles injury from a 1000k ride in October.

High temp of 31 at 3 PM today with a 40% chance of precip (ice/rain/snow mix). I will try and ride about 3 PM. Just because you started the thread.

Here's a screen shot from weather.com as of about 3mins ago:

Didn't ride as long as I had planned. Went out with a neighbor that hasn't been on the bike much this year, the last time about 3 months ago when I last dragged him out. The wind (21 - 31mph) was beating him up pretty bad regardless of how much I was trying to keep him in the draft.

I did somewhere close to 50 miles today with the local riding club on my Volpe(setup for cross), temps were around high 30s to mid 40s and there were loootttttsss of hills.

It was a great ride!

The ice foiled my New Years Eve ride but not my New Years Day ride. At or below 0 deg (bank said -2) with wind chills around -20. I had a nice 3 mile ride. Only real problem was my eyes kept freezing shut (icicles from the eyelashes).
I would like to say after yesterdays ice/snow the Innova Ice Husky studded snow tires performed flawlessly.
