Here's a terrible picture of how it looked before I took it all apart. The wheels are too busy and the picture makes the bars look bigger than they are...

When is a Tempo not really a Tempo?
When someone really wants a blue Tempo but only a Prologue comes in their size!

Thanks, and...Yeah. That frosty gray/green 105 1005 series stuff shifts great and lasts forever. As good as tricolor 600 in my opinion, although not as attractive.

What is the story with the non-stock Tempo decals. I've several now with these decals. All very nice looking bikes(all yours?)
Are you having these decals custom made somewhere?

1986 model, 9-sp DA. DA Wheels since swapped for silver Ksyrium SL's.
Great ride with either wheelset, but the SL's look amazing, as do new Keo2Max in white.

Yet another 1987 Tempo. My first really good steel bike, and still my favorite. CL buy from a flipper. The Impulse Blue and pearl white paint is a little more dinged up than you can tell in the picture, but at least I got a shot of it with the white tires and white Unicanitor saddle I added with zero miles on them. They've got about 2000 miles on them now and don't look quite so bright anymore. If anyone has this particular 25" frame in minty condition, I've got money. Also looking for a canti-equipped Voyageur of similar size and vintage. *Sigh* Oh, those Schwinns.

TGB- No, not NOS, just the best pieces of several 1055 groups that passed through my hands over the last couple of years. It was a build-to-order for a customer's girlfriend who saw and fell in love with one of my Tempo's (like the Caveman's above) but at 5'7" she was too short for a 23 and too tall for a 21. Hence the Prologue frame in a 22 done up as a 'Fauxtempo'.
Yes, I designed those decals and had a bunch of them made by a local vinyl guy in various colors. Real high performance vinyl, they look good and are very durable.

1988 Prelude. Found this at a garage sale last weekend for $20. It was missing the handlebars, brake levers, quill stem, pedals, and the seat and tires were trashed (shifters,RD,FD all work great). Its a little small for me, so my original plan was to flip it, but I might keep it as it rides nice even with the stuff I grabbed out of my parts bins and put on it to get it like you see in the picture. The yellow/white paint looks like yuck, so I may have it powdercoated black (it was the other Prelude color in 1988).

1987 Super Sport. Fresh build! White powder coat, Velocal decals (awesome!), Shimano 105 hubs/FD/RD/STI's, Tektro R530 brakes, Pro3's (my last pair of orange :-() Fizik saddle, Cinelli bars & stem.
Lots of new parts on this one, including the comnpact FSA crankset and UN73 cartridge BB. Even scrounged up a set of white Odyssey Par Ends!
Very smooth & since it's BikeMS colors, may ride it in the June 150.

15 mile shakedown yesterday afternoon and a hard 35 mile pre-BikeMS ride today. Flawless.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I think we have a winner!
Edit: Rode this 172 miles the week before BikeMS at the Outer Banks, then 137 miles the following weekend at the event. Where it rained. Bike worked well, though.

Just took this '87 Circuit on its maiden shakedown run. Bought the frame from sjpitts on this forum and had it powder coated in Guiness Foam beige & new decals by JR. Components are all Ultegra 6600: 10 speed standard double, including Ultegra hubs laced to Open Pro rims with Vittoria Pro III's.
Shimano 600 aero seatpost, Schwinn 'Cionlli' saddle, Cinelli stem and Giro bars. Very nice.

Is a 88 le tour worth an upgrade in components?
I ride a repainted super sport with dura ace 6900 and down tube shifters. The le tour fits me better and it original paint and near perfect decals . ** the white /blue ( four posts up)
Im flipping the Super sport just due to size but should i swap components. Any input welcomed.
