Shamal Hub Question

Hey guys... I pulled a Shamal 9/10s 16H hub (Record type I believe) out of the bin at the Co-Op last night. Dunno what I'm gonna (or can) do with it though.

Can I use any 16H rear rim with this or does it have to be Shamal/Vento? Could I build it up with a Kinlin or Velocity and CX-Rays or Aerolites??

TIA

Phew. I'd be scared to ride a bike with a 16h wheel, but you fellas know more than I.

Yeah...It's gonna have to be a stiff wheel (like a Shamal)...Velocity B43 or Kinlin 300 maybe...won't be the lightest thing in the world though.

I'm generally not a fan of deep V rims, but my LBS owner has built some wheels lately with B43s and Chuckers. Pretty cool rims and apparently damn tough.

What kind of spokes are recommended for a 16h wheel?

I'm thinking CX-Rays or DT Aerolites...maybe Comps would be fine...dunno.
