But the Corsa is a real butt saver.

You have to ask yourself, what is the point of being a fanatical radical weight weenie when before any ride you may be hauling around a turd that isn't cured and ready before you pull on yer tights! Donwooryaboudit!

BTW — you have a really lovely Bichu! (as they are called here in Japan).
Thanks for the feedback Lenton58!
I actually have another saddle on the bike now. I was looking for a Regal saddle last year to jazz up the looks of the bike and try out something different. Instead I found this:

A Selle Italia "Daytona" saddle. An early 90's copy of the Regal that I never noticed before I stumbled into this one at eBay. Feels really nice, with comfort somewhere in between my Turbo and Concor saddles and weighs exactly the same as the Concor, which surprised me as I thought the big rivets on the Daytona would have made it heavier.
Don't worry, I don't think I'll ever put something like a "modern" high tech Fizik or Specialized TI/Carbon saddle on the bike anytine soon, but,..............there are the Superleggera and SLG models of the Concor and Turbo I might still consider in my weenie future....

I nevered considered lightness as an issue when buying/building bikes. I don't want a tank but I don't need a feather under me either. the only bike I ever took the time to weigh was my Cornelo. it weighs in sans Champange bottle at about 23.5 (I can't recall if I took the spare off or not)
not too bad for an Alle bike with Triomphe and brooks seat

Lightest built bone stock was my '84 Trek 760 all Suntour Superbe w/tubulars right about 21#. My not OE '83 Trek 600 with vintage parts and a lightweight tubular wheelset comes in about the same.

My lightest clincher build comes in around 17#, but it's a single speed & not all vintage on the parts, including an all carbon fork.

Not cheating at all- steel may be real, but aluminum is not imaginary!
Here's my 979. LBS that help me finish the build said 19#. Tubular tires, mostly Campy Super Record. When I window shop modern bikes I discover I'd have to spend a LOT of money to get much lighter. Or I could pedal harder and lose 5 pounds.

I hope that I run into one in the future.
I thought the big rivets on the Daytona would have made it heavier.
Grab a handful of copper rivets sometime. They don't weigh very much. IMHO the weight is from the density of the leather and the frame — and of course the cinching toggle. I inherited a Brooks (model?) on my Vitus 979 that for me was intolerably heavy —and I am not all that concerned about weight. (It was destined for the shopping bike but vanished as things sometimes do).
Don't worry, I don't think I'll ever put something like a "modern" high tech Fizik or Specialized TI/Carbon saddle on the bike anytine soon ....
I don't think that it is hyperbole to say that vintage cycling suffered a big loss with the disappearance of the Lepper Voyager. It had nicely grained leather that was cinched, drawn and riveted on a chrome plated Reynolds 532 frame. I may have bought the last new one on the planet and put it on my Trek 560.
Comfortable and light and a reasonable price for the day.

For road bikes, it's probably my Guerciotti. I don't have an accurate scale, so I'm going with Ray Dobbins' claim of 18.5 lbs.

The tape is called Prism which can be picked up at any auto store by the pin stripping section. It's great for covering rub marks and acts as a safety reflector! Mike
