Yeah, I'm guessing it's an "amateur" built frame, though it's very nicely done. Splines in the steerer suggest Columbus tubes. It's a 62cm, so too big for me, but I've hung onto it in the event I ever learn anything about the builder.

Obviously if its a great builder you'll have to get some leg extensions installed.

I hope this makes you feel better. I have two bikes. It's all I have room for in my apartment, so one is my multi-speed 'racing' drop-bar contemporary fair weather bike and the other is my grocery shopping commuter beater SS/FG C&V. I have a build in the offing(Schwinn Traveler) but I can't start wrenching 'til I find someplace to stash one of my other bikes.

Not an option. And to pick up other theme, my son is in his (I hope) final year at Ursinus and every time I go there I think how great it would be to bring a bike along BUT I CAN'T because the car is jammed with stuff.
I don't know about you but I feel better. I hope I manage to get in that ride in your neighborhood this spring.
Don't mean to be a buzz-kill; I live vicariously looking at all of your bicycles, and collect them in my mind.
