Need replacement rear wheel, Bridgestone Altair (27x1, 6-spd)
My daughter loaned her bike to a friend visiting from Italy, and the first time he took it out the rear wheel was stolen. He's asked me to find a replacement and I think it was a 27 x 1 (tires are 1 1/8) with a 6 speed freewheel. This is a Bridgestone Altair from 1982, but I'm not overly concerned with matching the original wheel perfectly. What I know: Wheels are 27" with presta valves, probably 36 spoke, 6-speed, probably 126 mm rear spacing, Suntour rear derailleur, not indexed shifting. Would any old wheel with 6 speed freewheel and 126mm spacing work, including 1 1/14 rims? Don't really want to spend much since I will be making her a complete new bike this year, but her Italian needs transportation! Thanks for any replies, Gary Hastings (Long Beach, CA)

I'm getting a pair next week. 126mm rear spacing, 36 holes (maybe 32), freewheel, 27 X something_narrow, quick release. I think they sell individuals. Pair is 90 something or 90.
