Which Modolo brakes for my '82 Merckx?

Both sets are modolo professionals; the gold are the 1st gen with no model stamp (off my crashed-on-halloween De Rosa ). The bike came with the darker set, which is a pretty indescribable (and quite lovely) dark-gray-olive green color.

Tape will be gray cotton & overall color scheme is gray & silver, but my thinking is that the gold might be a nice accent.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear you crashed that beautiful De Rosa, and I hope you are ok.

I do like the grey!

I prefer the gold as the bike has a few yellow touches on its graphics that will relate with the gold anodizing on the lever and calipers. The dark grey brakeset looks better on black, red and white bikes, IMO.
Anyway, the gold levers loooks much more classier with the slanted lettering compared to the grey one's silk screened on plain Helvetica font lettering.

Gold. Mostly because it's the older, and 100% period correct, brake set. I bought those for a generic Italian steel frame I had from 1980 to 1996.

The Master Pro's, in my opinion, are a step up from the Pro's. Titanium hardware, gold plated washers (!), etc.
