OMG! 1987 Nishiki catalog!

I bought this thing on Ebay for $20 and it's worth every penny. Note that it's the West Coast Cycles catalog, not the Japanese Catalog. There are some of the shop's prices noted on certain pages. Spread it and Enjoy!

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I like that Pinnacle MTB. A finish kinda like a Ritchey Commando.

Nishiki-branded bikes are being sold by my corporate master: a quartet of hi-ten hybird/comfort and ATBs plus a decent Al hardtail and single-pivot FS.
The full suspension bike has elevated chainstays like the old Alien and Ariel bikes.

Just some observations/questions:

How did the cool looking carbon/kevlar bike compare to other comparable ones like the Trek's and Peugeot PY10FC?

The Cresta GT touring bike looks really nice - anyone come across one?

Totall agree on the Pinnacle - awesome looking paint job - looks like it would be a blast to ride on the fire roads around here.

Does catalogue include the rare symmetrical Linear with 700C front wheel?

I have what I believe is a very rare symmetrical (700C both wheels) version of the famous Linear funny bike. Am told it was produced in such low numbers that it was not even included in the sales literature. Its frame is a non-triple-triangle steel design and it's clearly original, factory-built. Does your catalogue mention it in any pages you might not have scanned? Thanks for putting this gem online.

Wouldn't be great if you could still order those bikes from the old catalogs.

Please note that the original posting in this thread is from 2011.

Not that this would prevent the original poster from replying. I occasionally see replies to threads I posted to in 2009.

Holy crap, I'm old...

I'm wondering if this might simply be the Canadian market Linear, which used 700C wheels front and back. Please post pics and the serial number..
