Looks like a typical, good quality Sports, likely made in Birmingham by BSA or Hercules and rebranded as a Regal. Accles & Pollack, TDC, Perry, Brampton are all fine components...the pic is a little small but is that a 5 pin crankset with a detachable ring? If so the ring looks like a Williams. The rack looks like dutch aftermarket.

Very nice bike...tune it up and ride it.

i think, just think its one of those bikes from 57 when Raleigh bought BCA but did't take over completely so they temporary rebranded it? I'm researching this brend for a month goin crazy.

Maybe but Raleigh was always quick to assimilate takeovers and I can't see one common element found on Raleighs other than Dunlop rims. Does it have the Made in England script on the top tube?

Your bike likely predates the '57 takeover and to me, is far more interesting because of it.

someone just responded to me with a message that says Raleigh bought out so many of its competitors, mostly in the 1950's and 1960's, that, at one time or another, Raleigh has made many of these brand names even though many of those brands at other times were made by other companies. Since Raleigh, at times, would manufacture bikes under a custom brand name of your choice for an order of only 100 bikes, but like u said this bike has different setup so i think BSA did the same thing,if u getting over a 100 bikes u can customize the name,or more likely they had a Regal motorcycle brand and it has somethin to do with it?
