wrong axle diameter??

So I got a new wheel with a shimano 105 hub, and the axle isn't quite fitting into the fork ends. I didn't realize there were different axle diameters.

I guess the question is: Do I just file it down until it fits or can I put the right size axle in this hub? Or do I need to get a different fork or a whole new hub?

The fork is the original on an old Fuji Sport.

Just file down the fork tips.

+1. file the dropouts. The original wheelset probably had solid axles which are typically about 0.025" smaller than hollow axles.

Yes, file the dropouts, but do it right. File only on one side, preferably the rear, so the wheel sits right even if you accidentally file them unevenly.
