Univega Speciallisima Finished...For Now...
I did some things to my 83 univega specialissima. I'm a tinkerer so I'm sure there will be more but I'm done for now.

Looks nice. A not to distant cousin to my 82 Viva Touring. Can you give us a run down on what is original and what you modded?

I can attest that Univega made some fine machines back in the day, and I think you have one of the most sought after.
PS - Your doggie looks like Nipper. (RCA Victor dog)

Really great work and nice photos! Looks like your fender clearance is awfully tight. I had the same issue on a Raleigh Alyeska I restored for a friend. We ended up switching the 27 x 1 1/4" Paselas for 27 x 1 1/8". They're fine for the type of riding he does, but bigger tires would be preferable. I'm a big fan of the leather wrap too. Hit it with some leather conditioner and it gets even better.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
