I've been driving 'old man cars' my whole life then. '64 Impala (not an old-man version but a SS 327-4bbl 4-spd conv't) at age 16, '72 Merc Cougar at 18, '73 Buick Electra at age 19...
However, the current stable consists of a '66 Mercury Comet Caliente, the wife's '70 Mach 1, my two 351CJ-powered '73 Cougars, the current sleeper/rod '89 Crown Vic with a 395cid 508hp stroked Windsor, my winter beater 96 Crown Vic, '97 F-250HD, and the wife's DD '04 Crown Vic Sport (poor-man's Marauder).

My only Mustang was a '76 Cobra II (I know the Mustang II is unloved but I liked mine) I built a killer 289 for it and had a lot of fun before I blew it up. It's replacement was a '79 Pinto I hot rodded. I loved going out and blowing doors on V8 Chevys then showing them my stock looking 2.3 4 cylinder.

Love this car, I've put way more into it than is reasonable, just an extremely nice car to drive. For when it is snowing or bikes need hauling we have a 2001 Volvo XC70

Traded in my wife's 2003 Town & Country for a 2013 Town & Country. It has a 4 bike hitch on the back.
My company car is a 2008 Escape (ignore the kid photobombing). It has a roof rack, but if it just me, my bike will go inside.

When I was in the Navy, the ship stopped at St. Thomas, USVI for a few days. I was too young to rent a car, but they let us rent Honda 90s. I had a Trail 70 as a teenager, so the 90 was just like a bigger version. We had a blast riding all over the island for a couple days. Even though it is US territory, you have to remember to drive on the left. No one got hurt, but there were a few close calls.

e30 convertible!!!
i had had a '86 325e (aka super ETA) and another '89 325i.
the former, stupidly sold for a little money and the latter one got total'd getting hit by a friend's SUV after playing golf together.
missing that nimble feeling. both were amazing cars, still make me smile when i spot an e30 on the street.

Funny to see an E30 crowd in this section, although not surprising. My "winter beater" is an '87 325i convertible, looks very similar to yours but in zinnoberrot. That's not a factory color, is it?

great thread! i do think its funny what people consider to be C&V compared to bikes.
I have a 64 impala
but I love the buicks, olds, and cadillacs from the 40s to the 60s, not sure when luxury became synonymous with old man, I suppose its like calling ti an old man bike. for me those other brands today are gems for the kustom world and are so much more unique than say a run of the mill chevy.

that's a heck of job, btw, one of the best drive way paint jobs i've ever seen.
so miss my e30s. one day i am gonna get another one.
what i'd die to have is Alpina C1 mod. but it's like finding a De Rosa Pista w Campy Century finish Corsa Record with Signor Moser's autograph's on it, in NOS condition.
not happy w current Bimmer design, just had to turn head to a MB for now at least for awhile.
e30 FTW!

As for the Delica, it is almost ironic for the van to have that name with all the outback type equipment installed on it. Did you ever have to test that fording snorkel yet?? An exterior roll/bash cage might be a really cool thing to add on to it,.....plus front back and side roof mounted spots.....bumper kangaroo/brush guards,...... Extended mud flaps,....headlight, tail light and window mesh gaurds,.....winch,.....traction rails,.......shovel/pickax/jerrycan mounts,.......a tubular rooftop cargo tray,.....Engine sump bash guards,....Even bigge wheels and tires,..... on and on and on and on......a fun, exciting, never ending project!

Ok, that's sweet. I've always loved the idea of a minivan, it's just that the ones they actually make and sell here suck. Dad's got a Diesel Westefalia that he says I can have when I can get myself out to NM to pick it up. Mom says I should my 58 Karmann Ghia out from under her apple tree while I'm there.
For daily drivers I've got a Volvo wagon problem. The 245 that I rebuilt over the past couple of years made me mad last winter (it was never meant to be a daily driver. It was a curb score and I got attached before I managed to flip it.
So I decided to get this nice clean V90. It's just like the other one but it's newer and it's got a really big engine and leather upholstery and subwoofers and a really big engine and IRS and a moonroof and a really big engine. Compared to the 240 anyway. Of course half those things need to be fixed.

The best thing about owning a hatchback (2005 Scion TC) is that the craigslist sellers I've dealt with all doubt that I can get a bike inside my car. I can actually fit two!
