Need Help identifying year of Univega Nuovo Sport Road Bike. $40. how did I do?

I recently bought a Univega Nuovo Sport for $40. The frame is in ok condition. No dents but a few paint scratches. All the components work but it they will need some love to get them fully functioning. The serial number is I269987. I would appreciate it if someone could help me find the year of it. Thanks for looking. Did I get a good deal?

There should be some date codes on the back side of the various components. Look them up on Vintage Trek to get your bikes model year.

I'm going to guess 82-85 just on a hunch.
