Wow! Hard to imagine that is not a scam at that price, but who knows?

If I had the cash I'd get it - the frame's my size, and the Shimano stuff is easily replaced

I checked the paramount out yesterday, very nice, in almost minty condition, pdg 2 OS, full 600 group, needs a new saddle. ST was 21.5", TT was 22", both c-c. I asked if they would come down in price, they said "hey, it's craigslist bike", so it's worth a try...

Pay the $500, have the seller drop it at a reputable bike shop, pay $40 to $60 to get it boxed and $100 or less to get it shipped and you've got a DeRosa Professional on the way to you for around $650 to $675 max. What's the problem!

No pm, jp? heh.... I'm never in here and just happened to see this. All I need is another red De Rosa... Yet here I go. Think I might be getting this beast as I'm liking a 61 vs the 59.. This will be another rider. Strangeness on a Spring day.

This is how to play the game folks.

You won't even break a sweat after the fifth or sixth transaction.

wow I completely spaced re: location! Sorry about that, hope you get it anyway!
Also, bolo (be on the lookout) on my velospace space in the next few weeks...one bike enters, one bike leaves...

this.
When something speaks out to me, I automatically include P&S in my calculations, then decide. Communication with the seller is key.

Maybe I can get it picked up. I've done some bike favors, big time, for a student at UNC-Wilmington. His parents live a mile down the road. If a person made the deal, and paid via PayPal, I could lilkely get Justin to bring it here, where I could ship. Something to think about. PM me if anyone wants to go down that road.

I've got to stalk it for a while, as it's not a necessity. I have one just like it, but would really enjoy building an evil twin....

Hey, I'm trying to get this thing and it's a whopping five miles away. Looks like I'm going to get it. A big thanks to jp because I was not even perusing my own CL as I have more bikes then brains in my little place. This is insanity as I was looking for a mid 70s and back sample but it's too close to pass up. The woman is selling for a friend and only dealing local. And now I'm getting ready to be glued to ole Norksagent's VS page! heh.... You have my curiosity up.

With a score like that, you need to name a kid after JP. I think "climbing goat" would be appropriate. He can climb with/without a bike.

haha! I learned recently that my climbing abilities are directly related to the bike I'm riding. '78 Raleigh Pro = bog down and muddle up the hill. '89 Paramount = remain seated and smile!

SWEET! I was hoping that a C&Ver would snag it. The SLX frame alone is probably worth the asking price if it is in good condition (which it looks to be from the pic).

GOOD LUCK!
(and post pics if you get it)
