Puch Superleicht

I have what i believe to be a very nice frame and fork, but there is very little on the inter webs about the Austrian bikes, especially the Puch-badged ones.
The frame set is complete Reynolds 531, fully chromed beneath the paint. It is surprisingly light, even for 531. Campy dropouts; the right one has two extra holes, for the attachment of the Portacatena unit, which from my research was short-lived and dates the frame to the early '80s. Serial number is 7142014, but also stamped on the bottom of the BB shell is "2" and "957".
I have scoured the catalog scans at bulgier.net under both Austro-Daimler and Puch, and nothing looks close enough to be it. I have come across a photo of a Tour rider on a bike with this same paint/decal scheme, though, so I wonder if this was possibly a team frame?? I know there is at least one Puch expert out there, hopefully someone knows a bit about this bike.

Not an expert on Puch but I did want an A-D and found an 81/82 Olympian. Like you I could not find enough info (but at least a catalogue scan). Reynolds 531 f/f but that is the only similarity - different lugs, BB shell, drop-outs, etc. S/N 6836885. Are the other numbers just below the S/N? Mine seems light but not "Superlight".

that's because it's not just 531, it's 531P, AKA "Professional" or "red label", and that's a lighter tubeset than regular 531.
Very nice looking frame, I've seen pics of the A-D model called "Superleight", but this Puch variant looks different, different headlugs, I think, but same "drillium" treatment to the dropouts.

So McMahon,
How light is that frame?

An extensive article about the history of Steyr-Daimler-Puch written by Martin Cohen, an owner of a Vent Noir. A long read, lot's of history but I found it fascinating.

Thanks All.
I don't have a scale, but I may try to weigh it somewhere before I start slapping parts on. But just by feel, it's pretty feathery.
My plan is a mix of Rival/Force, with white saddle and bar tape. Not period correct, of course, but it's a race bike and I want to race it.
The drillium may actually be original, as this bike looks similar, but in a cream color: https://www.rennrad-news.de/forum/att...1&d=1274603215
Scottryder: Thanks for the link. From the info there, I can add that my frame is British threaded and has Bocama lugs.

The drive side dropout is for a Campagnolo Portacatena chain keeper. I probably spelled that wrong.

Beautiful Frame. The Fork Crown especially is really nicely done.

Beautiful frame mcmahon. Here's an earlier take of the same Superleicht, but this time as an Austro-Daimler:

AHA! Check this out: https://www.speedbicycles.ch/showBike.php?enr=156 The rest of this site is amazing, too; I had not been there before, but you could spend hours drooling there.
My frame is a bit different - no braze-on race number holder, the decals on this one are "regular" 531 (thanks for that, unworthy1), and the tops of the seat stays and fork crown are painted, rather than exposed chrome, but the paint and decals are identical, the same drillium to the dropouts (including the Portacatena holes, although no Portacatena was mounted), and the identical lugs, shell, brake bridge and chain-stay bridge (I especially like that part).
If their claimed weight of 8.9 kg is correct, that is a sub-20 pound bike, and that's with 30 year old components. Wow.
My suspicion that this was a sponsored rider's bike is getting stronger...
