campagnolo wheels
I've been looking for a nice set of campagnolo vento 700c wheels that will take an 8sp cassette, lately i've seen them on ebay here and there, some of them have scratches into the polished aluminum.
My question is the aluminum pretty easy to buff out or fix those light scratches? anyone ever done it?
here's an example of the wheels i'm talking about:
https://cgi.ebay.com/Campagnolo-Vento...item19c4ee2d7c
Also what's the average going price for them right now? was this auction pretty cheap? it seems like it was
here's a pic with a bike with them:
if anyone has them for sale on the forum in good condition then let me know!

It would be almost impossible to "buff out" scratches on anodized components like rims without ending up removing the anodizing.
Many just remove the anodizing all togther with oven cleaner which makes it easier to buff/polish the part. Do a search on "polishing" in the forum and you should be able to get some tips on how this is done.

The Campy Vento and Shamal wheels have a clear anodizing on them. The logos (at least on mine) appear to be screened on or something.
The price is about right. The wheels often get dimpled or scratched, as that's a lot of surface area exposed to potential damage.
