1991 Campagnolo Athena rear derailleur pulleys?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get rear pulleys for my vintage Campagnolo Athena rear derailleurs? They came on the Bianchi nuova alloro that I just bought, but were not the original derailleurs for this bike. I think the old owner swapped out the nuovo records for them. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
highME

Bikes: Gios "Aerodynamic" with an electic mix of Campy and Cinelli parts. A custom made Chinook frame built by Bruce Gordon, using Columbus tubing and Cinelli lugs silver brazed. I have upgraded the components on this bike to Campy Chrorus 9 speed

Bullseye used to make some excellent sealed bearing pulleys, they had different spacers for the various makes of derailleurs. I prefer good sealed bearings to the originals!

I think you may be stuck with hunting them on Ebay. but I agree with Michael, Bullseye may be a good idea.

Any Campagnolo dealer should be able to get them for you: RD-RE500 (they are for Record but work with any Campy 8-speed)
Bike24.com (in Germany) stock them

I don't think there was ever a time when Campi "spares" were readily available in the US

I'm sorry to hear that. What about those Campagnolo calls Pro-shops? You can rate them on that website....

If I may be the little devil whispering ill suggestions in your ear, you can replace them with generic shimaNo wheels as long as the tooth count is the same.

My LBS has sealed "Cynergy"10 tooth Bearing pulley sets for $30.00. Just like bullseyes but better, they have better spacers and fit perfect.

Thanks so much for the info everyone. I am just trying to get this rear derailleur back to tip top shape. I bought the nuovo record too to get the bike that I bought back to it's original condition.
