Help me finish this Zeus restoration
I posted pictures of an '81 Zeus 2000 I picked up a bit ago. I have it mostly cleaned and serviced and various pieces replaced and am now down to picking out things like bar tape, tires, seat. Oh and I am still waiting for a couple of replacement decals. I have smooth black leather bar tape on it now and a black Avocet seat but neither of those is set in stone.
I also need to figure out the wheels. The original rims were replaced with dark Mavic MA3s at some point. I want to keep the Zeus hubs of course but I am not a fan of dark rims on vintage bikes, I prefer silver or polished rims. I also only have black sidewall clincher tires at this point but would prefer gum/tan sidewall tires.
So here are some new pictures. Give me suggestions on bar tape type and color, cable housing color, seat type and color and also rim and tire suggestions. I have a couple of sets of tubular rims I could lace to these hubs - super champion arc en ciel (matte silver) and record du monde (polished). I would actually prefer clinchers but finding vintage 700c clincher rims is a bit hard. I have a couple of period wheel sets with clincher rims I could steal but I hate to break apart a built up wheel set for the rims. Or do people think the dark rims look alright? What about a colored tire (blue?, silver?)?

+1
White cloth tape to go with the panels.
Gum hoods to go with the gumwalls and contrast to the bar wrap.
Black housing to go with the lettering.
- Of course that bike would still look good no matter what you chose!

The Velo Orange clincher rims look pretty good, and are available...
I'm not a fan of the dark rims, but look ok on that bike. Seems silly to replace.
