    Craigslist Find

    What do you guys think?

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...404619799.html

My girlfriend needs a full sized commuter/road bike (we've been riding folders for a year and think it's time to upgrade). Assuming this one passes my full inspection (check the frames for cracks, wheels for true-ness, general wear and tear, etc.), does this look like a fair price?

And any guesses on the year/model?

We're heading over tonight to take a look.

That is a super cool mixte.

$200 is fair if everything is in working order. I'd try to talk them down anyway.

Front fork looks bent. Is that some paint chipping on the downtube a few inches back from the headtube? Anyway, you said you'd check it out so I'm certain you'll catch any damage. Not a Bianchi expert but I'd try to get it down a bit. What part of downtown LA? Watch your back, park in a safe place after dark.

Thanks, Puget Pounder and retyred! Sounds like $200 is in the ballpark assuming everything is working well (and, as always, try to talk down). I noticed those couple of scuffs, but hopefully they're no big deal and there's nothing else when I view it in person.

It's near LA Live, and I'm plenty familiar with downtown LA, so I'll stay safe. Thanks again!

For LA that is a good deal, anything that works is 100$ and adding an Italian name makes it priceless.
Totaly cheap wieght weenie. Totaly cheap bike snob. But I love Italian hand made stuff. 84' Ciocc, 85' Raleigh Super Course, 96' Sakae Litage, 2000 Lemond Maillot Jaune,

Eh, thanks for the opinions folks. The bike looked good, but the fit wasn't quite right and the girlfriend didn't like it.
