Threadless Stems that have that C & V Look
I've been working on my gf's build for several months now. It's been through several iterations, each one becoming slightly more functional for her.
It's mostly modern parts, with some C & V thrown in the mix, but definitely has that "Classic" styling.
The latest adjustment will have to be the stem. I had a 120mm 3T Mutant Stem holding up North Road Bars, but she complained that she felt too "hunched over" and the handlebars weren't high enough.
So I need something with a bit of rise on them. I'm thinking at least 17 degrees, maybe even a 40 degree rise.
Suggestions would be appreciated. Criteria:
1. Silver
2. Has a good amount of rise (this takes the VO Tall Stack out of the running)
3. Looks C & V (or at least pretty)
Thanks!

I've an ITM stem on my mtb, ahead system that has a front clamp (where the bars go) like a traditional quill. It's shiny alloy to boot! But not so much rise as you'd need, maybe they madeit in other versions with more rise as well, google it

Could she stand to have a shorter stem that would also serve to put her more upright? 120mm is a decently long stem, and she's going to be leaning more than she might need to to reach the grips. I've found I'm ok on a 55cm TT bike with a 90mm stem, but most comfortable on a bike that size with a 60cm stem.

The Cinelli Grammo is nice, but I couldn't find one with a rise on it. Same goes with the ITM.
The bike is set up as a city "townie" style bike, with a Sram S7 igh, upright handlebars, and big sprung saddle (lower than the bars). The fork is chrome, and a black stem on it just wouldn't go with the overall theme, although I do prefer black threadless stems as well.

Some of the steel threadless stems from the early 90s are very slim, not chunky like aluminum stems. Some of them can look very similar to quills.
I would recommend a shorter stem rather than a taller one. Go down to 70 or 80mm with the North Road bars and see how that works. If you need a high rise stem and North Road bars that have rise and a back sweep, something is wrong.
