Fuji Sprint (pista), Part II

PART #1: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...-Pista-content

Jimmy (of Raleigh Pro Mk. V fame) came by with his Fuji Sprint after I pleaded with him not to powdercoat it.

I was dead wrong - the end result looks as if it rolled off the showroom floor:

What a beauty, eh? The refinish job also allowed for some nasty damage on the lower headlug to be filed smooth. Badge has yet to be mounted.

Wow Kurt, very nice. If that is powdercoat what a nice job! Any chance of getting a closeup of some of the lugs to see the level of fill there?

I'll have him bring it back sometime to get closeups of the lugs. Take my word for it, it's as thin as traditional paint. The paint on my Masi is thicker than this PC.

Bullseye. Strangely enough, I've heard both glowing praise and harsh complaints of their work. Can't seem to find out why.

Thanks, I'm thinking about getting my Moulton coated, but I'll probably take it to the shop that did my Santana (Armortech in Pompano.)

I've been wanting to get my Team Miyata PC'd but I've been afraid of losing the definition on the cutouts in the lugs. This is pretty tasty.

Wow. I might have to re-think my take on powdercoating. That's a great looking bike.

Very, very pretty. A very nice job of the entire bike.

Jimmy sent me some closeups of the lugs - I think you'll agree about the beautiful shorelines of this powdercoat:
