HA! I knew there had to be a way...
to lock my U-lock on the rack in a secure, quiet way that wouldn't interfere w/bike, me or pannier. Took me long enough to figure it out!! How do you all do this...if you do?

That looks cool. I either stick mine in a pannier/saddlebag or lay it flat under a bungie on a rear rack. Or once in a while I hang it from the handlebars.

I'd be afraid of that falling and hitting the wheel due to vibrations.

That is actually impossible [cut to me a week later, with scars and a broken collarbone!]. It's hard to tell from the photo but the lock can't drop low enough to come close to the tire, even if the cylinder dropped further down between the horizontal stays.
