I wish I knew about this sooner as I would have liked to make it I sure have a lot of stuff I would like to sell and we never have anything like that around here, 60 miles isn't that far to travel from here. We are getting ready for a BBQ here on Sunday and my Bronco has been in the body shop for a month getting some paint and body work fixed under warranty, so I have no way to haul anything. I would have gone just to meet some of you. Aaron it is about 60 miles north of Wildwood exit 58 or 59 on the Garden State Parkway & 20 miles North of where the AC expressway crosses over the Parkway exit 38.

When I tried to look it up on Google maps it puts me in someones backyard in a residential neighborhood, that can't be right???

Glenn

Agreed I wish I had known about this sooner!

I commend anyone who has the cajones to attempt to drive to the shore tomorrow.

Google is screwed up. E. Main Str. is Rt. 9. Not the second floor bedroom of a tudor style house.

Tuckerton is a quaint little town that runs lots of flea markets. This is the first time I've seen one for vintage bikes. Should be interesting. I hope vintage doesn't mean last years kid bikes.

You all are going to be p*ssed when I come back with a $30 mint condition stored for 30 years in a barn owned by a little old lady who used to ride it to church before her knees went bad Paramount.

I hope ya find a Truckload!!

But no, I won't be too pissed to go for a nice long ride saturday rather than sit in my car on the parkway.

I would really like to go, but Google says 2 and a half hours with no traffic!! and we know that's not gonna happen tomorrow

No down here we call anybody not from the area Shoobies.

Back in the day of railroad service from Philly to the south shore points people would pack their lunch in shoe boxes for day trips.

Curious what you found. 2+ hour drive for me (without traffic delays factored in), and I learned a lesson reading holiday's recent thread. Learn from the experience of others!

Rode 70 miles this morning instead.

I only live 20 minutes away, and there was little traffic in the morning. I won't say it was waste - I met some locals and got some contact info from people near me with some good collections to check out over the coming weeks.

In terms of vendors and merchandise, there was little to see. One nice Motobecane that went even before I got there (and I was early). A few 70s Schwinn Varsity and Contis. A pair of Raleighs that looked rough, but complete. One Robin Hood that was tempting, but the amount of rust scared me off. Parts were especially weak. Nothing memorable.

The big problem I saw was the parking lot used was also being used for a parade. It was rather chaotic, and if you didn't get out of there by the time the parade started, you were stuck for the next 90+ minutes.

The bike store running the show wants to do another one in September. Hopefully he learned not to do it during the Labor Day parade.

A buddy just gave me a copy of Antiques&Auction News and there is a tiny ad for the Tuckerton show and swap:
Saturday, Sept.10 (rain date Sept.11)
No registration fee
setup 8-9 AM
show 9-3
Plenty of display area, bring your own table
Google 161 E. Main Street
Tuckerton NJ 08087 GSP exit 58
email Villagebicycles(at)aol.com with any questions.

I probably won't make it, and if I do it'll just be to gawk at bikes and parts.
