Crankset for MTB - Opinions?
Just started digging into my new (to me) Bianchi Grizzly, had a thought of what to do w/my triple Mavic. Whaddya think (it is just hanging loosely on spindles for pic/consideration)?

I'd say it looks pretty cool, 'cause it's a Mavic crank. Even though mountain bikes of the day used pretty big rings (I had a 48 on my rockhopper) the chainrings look too big to me, so it looks a little out of place. What size is the big ring?
Wait: Mavic Starfish triple? Really?

There was a neato triple adapter for these (from mavic), a spider ring that replaces the spacers between the two big rings. Pretty neat - I looked around for a while to find one, never ended up using it, but fitted it up for this.
