No, it's ridiculously high. Granted, this bike looks pristine, but still. Grab the CL bike and ebay it!

RobbieTunes is the pied piper...on his pied Centurion.

Marketing genius! Judging by the ebay example, he's not very far off base.

$400 is too high but at the same time, you could do a lot worse for $400 than that.

someone is selling a centurion nearby and asking $1000. I checked to see if it was the equipe, but the fuschia and yellow let me know it was no cinelli.

Robbie came to the party 25 years too late. He would have been Centurion's #1 salesman. He should be getting a commission on these sales. Seriously, he's created a cult following for Centurion bicycles.

Who's had the most pink and yellow bikes/framesets? Personally, I've had 5. I have a chance to potentially have number 6. Lol.

Kind of makes a guy wonder what he could get on the Bay with an updated STI fitted IM Master... Someone else will have to try though, my three are safely integrated into the herd.

Hey, give the guy a break. He’s got a big megaphone with BF and he’s been beating the drum a long time. Of all the obscure bike lines, Centurion deserved to be shown as a level above. I’ve read many posts that pretty much said that you where not a real man if you couldn’t man-up and ride a pink bike. I guess there are some that are taking that as a real challenge to there manhood.

That's why I created this thread. I want all the newbs to understand Robbie created this madness. He's a marketing dynamo.

Seriously, though, this is social media marketing in action. Nothing wrong with it. I can remember when Centurions were a dime a dozen, like Panasonics or Shoguns or Nishikis.

I believe that you are right, and this is an example of the power of it. I'm just glad this power rests in trusted hands of Robbie and not some megatron marketing entity wanting to take advantage of us.

it doesn't hurt that centurion has some of the hottest paint jobs from the time period, in addition to making quality bikes. late 80s/early 90s styling is very much in-fashion today.

I'm glad Robbie has hyped up Ironman bikes, cause if he hadn't, I might have missed out the one i currently ride. Robbie might get you interested in the cult, but it's time in the saddle that seals the deal

What no one's saying is that it's not the bike that does it: it's RobbieTunes. If I were marketing pink bikes, no matter how much I swore up and down that they were the best bikes ever made, you guys would just roll your eyes and move on. The man oozes cool. That's how he does it.

Yes, but what he didn't say is that he's including Vince. Now that would have killed the sale

Oh, sure. The fact that he's a member of the century-a-month club, that has nothing to do with it.

I don't see the attraction to these pink bikes with unicrown forks. You guys can have 'em.

There is one almost just like that, only it has yellow/green bar tape for $175 on the Pittsburgh craigslist, just posted last night. The guy only posted a phone number (I am partially deaf) so I didn't inquire about it, plus I don't know if I could deal with those colors.

The bike looks in beautiful shape. Collector display-grade even. Kudos to him for finding the buyers!
