    NOS Suntour dt shifters

Alright well im looking at buying these...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/NOS-Suntour-Down...899#vi-content
And i have a 1986 bridgestone 12 speed and im curious would these fit on it?

It would be really awesome to get these because of the price, since im trying to fix my gearing so i can sell this bike soon.

    Thanks for the answers!

I'm guessing yes. You will have to run friction unless everything else is SunTour (include a 6s cassette) on the bike.

    EDIT: freewheel.

    6spd FreeWheel actually.

yes you would need a Suntour 4 prong 6spd RD. there is an odd RD like a 4030 model or something that only works with its matching shifters but those should work with any indexing Suntour RD.

Tell us more about your bike and just what your trying to do. it is not as simple as buying index shifters and sticking them on. the freewheel and RD must be index compatible.

I normally would not call someone out like this but since the OP seems to be a Noob, I didn't want him to get him confused

Thanks, much un-needed for the unwelcome "title". But what i AM DOING, is replacing my dt shifters, not simply slapping them on. My old shifters are worn down to the point that shifting seems incapable because its been grinded down. I need to replace them and the bike is a Bridgestone 450 equipped with all stock. Which is shimano components.
I wanted to know if a suntour dt shifter would be compatible with them. And it seems it has been answered.
