Dang burn bike karma

A guy just dropped off a mint 1982 Trek 728 in my drive, all original, looks like it was never ridden, just storage scrapes, chainrings and freewheel untouched, flashing on the tires.

Karma.

I feel, somehow, that doesn't make up for "you know what," but I'm darn glad it found it's way to you.

You must have done some seriously great deeds, especially if it is your frame size ...

It's the missus size. Should I cut her and gut her?

Give me a few, dog walk time now.

I did not touch the chainrings or freewheel, haven't even lubed the chain yet, just a quick, light wash to get the cobwebs off.

Around here, those "midget bikes" are a license to print money. This particular one is going to bring big $$$$.

This bike found me. All I had to do was answer the door. As BBM says, little bikes are like having a printing press for green backs. Ask any vertically challenged person how hard it is to find a nice bike.

Sloping top tube?

Melt it for scrap.

Seriously, is that chain stay longer than the top tube?

Agreed.

Folks are looking for 720s or anything close to them.

A nice example like this will be very attractive for the right rider/buyer.

Hard to find a bicycle this nice in that size.

Look at how clean she is!

No sloping top tube, nice slope in the yard .

The chain stays are extremely long. Vintage Trek has a good reprint of a 1982 article on them.

This will not stay in the household, she has enough bikes she doesn't ride.

The Duopar shifts nicely on the stand, even with a dry chain.
