new to the site..new bike

Im glad i have found this site...member of many other sites, and i know from that experience its great to have the knowledge here. I have in my barn, my dads old bike..it was his first bike..He hasn't seemed much interest in it. He now has a 5 speed corvette Schwinn. The bike in my barn is a huffy impala. It has light surface rust..but u can still see the chevy emblems and the pin-striping, but i cant find any info on this bike at all. I don't know the history or price on what it may be worth, or anything. I wish i could find a picture of what it looks like new/restored. If anyone could help i would love it

To start, what you should do is take pictures of what it looks like now.

I would think it may be worth more as a Chevrolet collectible than a Huffy, but that era was different for Huffy than it would be later on.
I recommend clean it up and post pics, see what comes up.

Welcome to the forum.

This is my Roadsters and Antiques page on MY "TEN SPEEDS". There is nothing specific to your bicycle, there, but there is lots of information for someone just getting into old bicycles.

My guess is you will have some fun fixing that nice old bike up and then taking it out for a spin.

Welcome to the forum and hope this is a help.

I remember riding one of these bikes in 1961 - It was already rusty so the bike must come from the 50s - Here is a Step-Through of similar make...
