feeling like a noob
blew 3 tubes in a row trying to install new 700x23 panracer tires on my new bianchi
i NEVER have any probs w 27x1 1/4s
having a tough time getting the tires on they are so darn tight
i use park large steel levers
maybe the tools are too big for the 700s and causing me to pinch the tubes
or i need to use some baby powder
but so frustrating
suggestions...sympathy...

You probably already know this but:
It is best to inspect the raw rim for anything that could poke through, and then mount a new rim strip.
Make sure you are using a slightly inflated, suitably small tube - (larger ones tend to get pinched more easily).
Use baby powder to reduce the "sticktion" in there.

I use a VAR tire lever tool. I don't think they are in production anymore but should be available used.

your new Bianchi? are the rims Ambrosio Durex or FIR? I tore two tubes this week putting a Pasela on a Ambrosio rim. they just fit tight for some reason.

ambrosio - yeah bianchigirl - i picked up that black limited - i love it already - did some overhauls and its just the tires to go on and i'll be ready to ride - will prob be working on it tonight - but i picked up new tires that were a little more pricey so i'll see how they work out - installing tires is so 101 that having such difficulty is making me feels likes it day 1 - good thing my BB overhaul was not as eventful
edit: btw bianchigirl thank you for your feedback prior to purchase
ended picking it up for 2 bills - the seller's mother was there when i picked it up and was mad that the seller had put the price so low - she asked if i could go another fifty - she ultimately felt better when we talked and she realized i wasnt a flipper and was going to ride the bike - not easy to find a bianchi for 2 bills imo so i think i did well

Sometimes I'll take a very liberal amount of ArmorAll and spray to the point of dripping the wheel, tire and tube then install the partially inflated tube - This allows the tube to seat well...
You really should not be having this problem...
