Legnano Mizar?

Just found this on eBay, but I couldn't find anything about this model (Legnano "Mizar") on bikeforums or elsewhere. The model name could be a mistake on the part of the seller...

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1200

I've asked the seller, but haven't heard back yet. Any Legnano experts out there who can weigh in on this mystery? Thanks!

1990s bike: late 80s at the earliest. Not much in common with the Legnanos from the olden golden days. I think it has an Athena group on it, which is pretty nice stuff.

I think Bianchi bought the rights to use the Legnano name in the 1980s, then sold some Legnano labeled bikes in limited markets.

I too would love to hear from anybody whose knowledge is firmer than mine.

Bumping this thread because I'm really curious, & really sure one of you knows something about these later Legnanos...

Doesn't look like Athena to me - not nice enough finish, and check the cheesy brake calipers. Probably Campy's bottom-end group (Xenon?).

I contacted the seller as well, real sketchball. Probably picked it up at a garage sale, auction, or whatever.

Here's what I know: Legnano green is one of the best colors ever put on a bicycle.

You are right: just checked an Athena group I have in a box and it is different stuff: not as nice as Athena. Still wondering whether it is a rebadged low-end Bianchi or what...

Thanks for everyone's input! This thing is quite the mystery.

Here's what I found out from the seller: it was made in 1994 and has a serial number of 1079898. The seller seems nice enough, just doesn't seem to know much about bikes (I asked for the size and he told me the wheels are 26")
