80s sugino AT triple crank arm on VP double crank

I'm looking to put longer arms on an old VP double crank set, any reason I shouldn't use AT triple arms on a double ring set, the specks look the same on velobase as near as i can tell.

VP crank

AT Crank (using just arms)

I am pretty sure that can be done. The finish and quality of the AT arms is nicer than the VP, and you just end up not utilizing the smaller bolt hole circle for the third chainring.
