Went for a shake down ride today on the latest upgrade to my PH 501. This is overlooking the Snohomish Valley. We get our Corn from the fields below in the Fall. It wont be ready to harvest for about 10 days, but well worth the wait.

BTW, that is Mt Baker(about 11,000') in the far distance.

Nice pictures, Brian!

My wife and I rode today and came upon a road partially washed away by Irene. I reached for my phone to take a picture and saw that I had left it at home.

Brought a camera on this morning's ride with my son:

Edit to add, I also got the old MTB finished this morning, hooked up the rebuilt $8 trailabike, and went for a ride with the other one:

I need to put some brass bushings in the u-joint; kind of wobbly for her. Not sure why she's wearing a winter jacket, it's 65 today, far cry from 95 on Saturday.

Went out with a friend of mine who's gone to the dark side with a 2005 Specialized Tarmac Comp. I told him I just couldn't give up my steel.

Had the rude awakening this morning that the local ranchers had done another cattle drive. Makes for a pain in dodging all the crap (literally) on the road.

Took a ride to Philly to to drop off a saddle for KonAaron's Schwinn triple seat monster. He, his wife and I rode it over to a great Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. Of course most of the pictures did not come out, stupid droid.

Here is the path on the way in to the city, a good number of trees still down
[IMG][/IMG]

More clean up. The Schuylkill river was at its second highest level in recorded history. Thanks Irene.
[IMG][/IMG]

Different style of portage (no downed trees)

The view from the top (Walnut street, I think...)

Nice pictures fender1, but the picture I really wanted to see was the three of you riding the triple.

Me too! I took a bunch but I think I move to quick for the camera in the droid? I take a pic, it "clicks", I see the pic in the window but it is not there. Anyway we rode the city streets to restaurant, it was interesting to say the least......I also got a picture of Aaron's neighbor who put a 3ft steel post in his too small mountain bike as a seat post, wacky!

Tonight's dinner build...

Dried New Mexico chili pods and Habanero chili pods

After being cleaned then boiled for 2 hours...

Once Puréed, the chili is passed through the food mill...

A beautiful red chili sauce with a sharp little kick courtesy of the Habaneros. I made more product than I needed for this "build", but the remainder will freeze nicely.

Awaiting placement in the oven -- shredded beef enchiladas.

Ready to serve!

That chili sauce looks amazing. I simply love spicy hot food!
Mrs. WNG made something delectable for us yesterday, and even spiced up my portion. Bless her!

Went riding in the rain. It was pretty dandy, and I was grateful for my fenders because I live in Albany full time now... Anything that splashes up from the ground has probably got urine in it.

Got back into town from a trip last night. On the way in we stopped by a friend's house we are keeping an eye on while he's away. We came in the back and went out the front to get his mail and let our dog Maggie do any business she needed to. Mrs. vandalarchtiect (although to keep the same theme she would be cougarchemist) was the first out front and said, "Oh ****!" Maggie followed and growled a little and two of the three deer took off. The third was really curious and decided to get a closer look at Maggie.

Does it still work to say it was probably the black sheep in the family ... being a deer and all?

Ketchum, ID

I think this is some sort of art installation piece inspired by "Where The Wild Things Are". I'm not really sure.

I rode from Ketchum to Bellevue on their sweet bike path.
